Glorious Beaches
Along the coastline of the city of Naples itself, the beach stretches for seven miles, perfect for walking, jogging, sunbathing, shelling and swimming. Within all of Collier County there are 38 miles of shoreline.
Golf and Tennis
Naples is a recreational haven, most famous for its title as the "Golf Capital of the World." Over 100 private and public golf courses dot the area, or are currently under construction. Each winter, Naples is home to the popular Senior PGA Event and the LPGA’s Subaru Memorial of Naples, both of which attract the world’s top golfers. Tennis is avidly played throughout the area of both public and private facilities. The Har-Tru surface is the most popular allowing extended rallies while also being more forgiving on the knees and ankles. Naples also hosts the Nuveen Masters Tennis Championship, featuring players such as Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, and local resident Johan Kriek.

The Moist Tropical Climate of southern Florida borders the Moist Subtropical Mid-Latitude Climate of central and northern Florida. Southern Florida is a Tropical Savannah, dominated by the Everglades. It shows pronounced, alternating, wet and dry seasons. During the rainy season, from June to October, southern Florida shows frequently cloudy afternoon skies, high humidity and warmer temperatures. During the dry season, from November to May, southern Florida shows frequently clear skies, low humidity and cooler temperatures. All months have average temperatures greater than 64°F (18°C). The temperature variations are kept very small by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. The Atlantic Hurricane Season is between June and November.
